The figure of Christ on the cross, shown after death with head drooping and legs transfixed with a single nail through both feet; long hair and full beard. Wears loincloth around waist. Sockets for either arm. Intended for crucifix. Bone, 14 grams. Provenance Part of a important collection of Christian artefacts formed in the 1970's and 1980's; the property of a City Gentleman.
