This is a VERY RARE offering for an ILLUMINATED BIBLE PSALTER LEAF HAND WRITTEN IN ENGLAND C1470 ON VELLUM (animal skin) WITH NUMEROUS RUBRICATED AND GOLD COVERED CAPITALS (as shown in top scan) ON FRONT AND BACK (7 on back)! TRULY LOVELY! THIS LEAF HAS PSALMS 8:5-9:12 WITH SOME WONDERFUL VERSES! AND WITH 7 ILLUMINATED CAPITALS ON THE VERSO! The majority of these leaves were likely destroyed during the reign of King Henry the 8th due to his opposition. This leaf will be similar as that shown-just a few left (example shown below picture of leaf of how the gold shines!) and has verses on both sides. An alternative to framing (as shown) will be to have the leaf shown in the wooden frame shown which allows one to see both sides of the leaf (available for an extra charge). 3/13.
