Notice in the (natural daylight) photos how this lovely Tanzanite is very strongly CORNFLOWER BLUE with a slight hint of its secondary PURPLE hue. Daylight environment, particularly morning light, suppresses Tanzanite's purple tones. At night, under a different light environment, this gem 'color-shifts' and displays a more VIOLET/PURPLE, its secondary hue. The pleochroism is great in this flawless jewel, giving off tertiary PINK and REDDISH tones (it's third hue) in certain lighting situations (and visible in some of the photos below). This pleochroism, the quality Tanzanites have of appearing either more purple or more blue in various lighting situations at different times of day, with a tertiary pink or red tone in many gems, is one of the desirable features which makes Tanzanite so beautiful and valuable. The depth of vibrantly saturated rich PURPLISH BLUE color in this enchanting AAA Tanzanite jewel is enchanting; very nearly the finest color Tanzanite available. The big Tanzanite gem is very clean, well-cut, with excellent rich BLUE color with VIOLET/PURPLE secondary tones, even, strong vibrant saturation, and good pleochroism. Over one full carat of fine quality Diamonds: near colorless G color, SI-VS clarity.
