14k White Gold Shaded Cameo Of Three Graces For Sale
We are pleased to offer this super cute fabulous 14k White Gold Shaded Cameo of Three Graces, one of the most classical and popular themes in cameos. The Three Graces (sometimes called Charites or the Gratiae) typically represent charm, beauty, and creativity.
In this cameo, the Three Graces are finely presented as three dancing girls with flowers and ribbons. Shaded dark orange color highlights girls' faces and robes, making a special and interesting feature of this cameo. The carving is fluent and smooth. The cameo is set in a 14k white gold bezel. A hallmark "14k" stamped on the clasp. The bezel is in a beautiful filigree style decorated with wavy edges. Each wavy edge is curled forming eight tiny loops that can be connected with chains of necklace or bracelet. The whole design has a very feminine look. Every piece is harmoniously set together with others, showing great craftmanship. Circa 1910-1930s.
The brooch has a bail, and safety catch and pin. Can be worn as necklace pendant and a brooch. It measures about 1 5/8" by 1 5/16" (40mm x 33mm), without counting the bail. The bail is set with a ball hinge, so it can be folded down when it is worn as a brooch. Condition is wonderful. No chips, cracks, damage or any repair to note. A couple of short faint hairlines are detected only through strong light, not visible for nude eyes. Sold "AS IS".
