151st Pennsylvania Promotion Document - Valor At Gettysburg - July 1, 1863 For Sale

Offered is a wonderful promotion document from the 151st Pennsylvania Regiment pertaining to the Battle of Gettysburg. The document is promoting David B. Peck to Corporal due to his patriotism and valor on July 1st, 1863at the Battle of Gettysburg. The document is signed by his commanding officer Colonel Harrison Allen and Adjutant S. T. Allen. The document is professionally framed, probably done in the 1940' or 1950's. This was obtained directly from the family of David B. Peck and is fresh to the market. The condition of the document is outstanding for its age and is legible in all aspects. A patriotic eagle is pictured at the top of the document and a "151st" was added above it. The document was signed by Colonel Harrison on July 27, 1863. David B. Peck enlisted in the 151st Pa Infantry on 10/30/1862 and was mustered out on 7/27/1863. He then enlisted in the 211th Pa Infantry on 9/14/1864 and was finally mustered out on 6/2/1865. Colonel Harrrison Allen enlisted on 6/29/1861 as a Major and commissioned into the Field & Staff of the 39th Pa Infantry. He was then commissioned into the 151st Pa Infantry on 10/30/1862. Harrison Allen was promoted to Captain for "Co. F" of the 151st Pa Infantry and then Colonel of the regimenton 11/11/1862. He was the Breveted Brig. General on 3/13/ 1865 by Brevet.
