[Zurich, 1565.] A most historic volume, far from ideal but historic and scarce still; an exceedingly rare book on gems, fossils and minerals. 4 x 6.5 inches. 190 pages, not all paginated and some of the pagination is off but the contents are complete after p.1. Before p.1, all (title, dedication, preface) is missing. Ropes coming undone with leaves at rear disbound (present). No binding as well. First leaf is torn, rest of the volume is actually in surprisingly nice condition considering age (though not quite so bright as they appear below, the pages are more a uniform toned cream color). A true rarity.
