Here is a darling handmade cloth doll from the 1940’s. I obtained her some years ago from theoriginal owner who was downsizing due to imminent retirement. She has seamed face for extra contourwith embroidered facial features.The hair is dark brown yarn worn in tiny curls like the “Poodle style”haircut so popular all those years ago.The arms and legs are connected with button joints and there is somestaining from years of play/display and storage. She is very nicely dressed in white cotton bloomers,petticoat with fitted waistband and patterned dress with pinafore typebodice. The sock tops areembroidered and she wears black velvet slippers that are sewn in place.
