I am pleased to offer you this early old antique doll foryour consideration.Incised on the back of his head is\"L.A.A.S and 1915\".Reference tells me this doll was made by Louis Amberg who was the first company to manufacture all American Made Dolls of composition.I do not knowhis past restoration history but will try to describe him and flawsthe best I can. Measures 16\" tall being a compositionflange head, hands with fingers intact on cloth straw stuffed body.Body is inner disc jointed at the shoulders and legs. All together with past \"sewing restorations\" throughout. You can see thread in my photos, I imagine someone can restore the stitching much better if they want to. Wonderful character face with oil painted blue grey eyes, paint is lovely. Doll has painted auburn brows to match hair, open mouth with painted upper teeth. No issues on this great little character face. Has painted molded auburn brown hair, I see no cracks or damage on this composition head. Wears antique romper with snaps down the back, vintage white sweater coat with \"Flag\" pin button by the \"Whitehead and Hoag Company\", there is a knit cap on his head and old stockings on the legs.I have taken plenty of photos.
