DESCRIPTION:
We are pleased to offer you this lovely antique German character baby doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"P.M. 914, Germany, 5\". Reference attributes this doll to 1908+ Germany by Porzellanfabrik Mengergereuth. Doll measures just under 16\" tall being a bisque socket head on jointed composition baby doll body with all fingers and toes intact. Fingers are outlined in red for that realistic look. Paint touch onthe body, some light overall wear, nothing terrible for being 100 or so years old. Great little character face with open and close brown glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted lashes around the eyes, brush stroked brown brows, she has open mouth with two upper teeth and molded tongue. Defined lips and high color blush on her \"near perfect\" face. I flashed inside this bisque head and see plaster cement that was used to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people do, I do not see any cracks or hairlines, a good bisque. Wears her original warm brown color human hair wig with bangs that is glued on a pate on her head. She wearsvintage green romper with buttons down the front, stockings and shoes. This \"adorable\" antique character baby doll is in \"wonderful\" condition and would be a \"Treasure\" for collection, display or Gift! I have taken plenty of photos.
