This is one of a kind, special, ancient Torah Scroll written in Europe 400-500 years ago. From the style of the writing, textual minor changes, strange letters, extra crowns, and other characteristics we concluded this Torah is from the 16th century or the latest early 17th century. The Torah was shown to the highest authorities of ancient Hebrew manuscripts to confirm its age and authenticity.(Please contact seller for more information)
The Scroll measures about 30 inches high. There are 58 lines in each column.
The Torah is in good condition, each and every section of this complete Torah Scroll is the original 400-500 years old. Most of the letters are dark and firmly attached to the parchment. In very few places there are light water stains which does not affect the ability to read the text. Almost all of the rare special characteristics are the original hand of the ancient scribe.Notice the scribe was writing on top of the lined parchment (unlike today where scribes write under the lines)Notice the special letter KOOF where the scribe followed an ancient costum to attach the leg of the KOOF to the the spaces in btween the verses. The scribe left small space betweenthe verses in each verse in this TorahNotice the beautiful, original strange letters and extra crownsPlease contact me for any additional information you might want. 1-917-913-8895
