1720-hcb Ngc Xf45 Germany Brunswick Calenberg Hannover Taler George I England For Sale
One Taler 1720 HCB George I of England, 1714-1727. Davenport 2075. Choice ef with original tone, well struck. George I was simultaneously Duke of Brunswick and King of England. An affordable example of a choice crown-sized coin of this king who never bothered to learn English. The obverse features St. Andrew's cross, whose connection to Scotland is purely accidental. However, the Order of the Garter surrounding the arms reverse is truly British. Scarcer date with this the only example certified by NGC in any grade. Braunschweig-Calenberg-Hannover Taler 1720, Clausthal. Gekröntes Wappen von Löwe und Einhorn gehalten. Rs: Hl. Andreas mit Kreuz unter Arm. Welter 2233, Dav. 2075
