18” HEAVY AEM MEXICAN ROSE QUARTZ STERLING SILVER SHIELDS NECKLACE :

Circa mid-century, this hand-wrought necklace was produced by the noted Mexican silversmith AEM, or AE within a heart.

It\'s a design which was originally created by Abraham Paz, and one which he also made for Fred Davis.

This is a killer necklace. It\'s a deco design, heavy yet very comfortable, and it lays magnificently on the necklace. The gemstones are a rich and beautiful shade of deep pink. Eight large rose quartz cabochons sit between sterling silver \"shields\".

Measures a closed, wearable length of 18\". Width is 1 1/8\".

Weighs 111.2 grams.

Signed and hallmarked \"AE inside a heart shaped M\", \"Sterling Mexico\", and the eagle assay 23.

In excellent vintage condition. Collector quality. Clearly well cared for.
