9 Lewis 1 latex Chess moulds + 9 Lewis 2 Ref 0005 Lewis 2Chess moulds.

These are genuine original SUPERCAST / EUROPACRAFTS latex moulds as previously supplied to the British Museum and New York Museumand have been recently professionally factory manufactured BEWARE of inferior smaller counterfeit copies.

The most interesting and important of all early chess pieces are those which have become known as the "lewis chessmen" The original pieces were found in 1831 in an underground chamber on the Isle Of Lewis.

The moulds are very highly detailed with the King 9cm in height.

The18 latex moulds consist of

1of each KING, QUEEN, BISHOP, KNIGHT, CASTLE and4 PAWNS for Lewis 1

& 1 of each KING, QUEEN, BISHOP, KNIGHT, CASTLE and 4 Pawns for Lewis 2

Requires 3kg of plaster (not included but available please see my other listings) or resin to make a full 32 piece set.
