18\" Composition doll.Madame Alexander SCARLETT O\'HARA doll.She is a beautiful restoration. Make sure to read the restoration Details below as they are part of the description. This is a particularly beautiful doll. When doing this kind of work, I do what is humanly possible as a artist to bring the doll to exactly how she looked when she was new. The hand painted features are complete and vibrant and replicated as close to the factory paint as possible. Green sleep eyes are clear. She has her Black human hair wig thatretains most of the original style and is in very nice condition. Her original dress is tagged. It has the discoloration this particular dress is known for. But overall it\'s in good condition considering the age. The slip with hoop is attached. her bloomers have had the waistband elastic freshened up. The soles of her original shoes have been repaired, and the bonnet has been added to complete her look. As shown. Insurance is included in the priority shipping price.

RESTORATION INFO:

Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just don’t survive the test of time very well. Restoration is needed. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. Doll Hospitals and restorers can charge $12.00-$15.00 per inch and this does not even include wigs or clothes! This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was Mint. With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. I usually line the joints with felt to avoid future joint rubs these dolls are known for. The doll will not be strung super tightly. Too Tight stringing can cause seam splits & head cracks.

This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. The process includes stripping, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth.
