An original lot of around18 World War Two V-mailletters including the envelopes that belonged to Private Cortland Kester. These were letters written to him. The letters are dated/postmarked 1944. All the letters have2 envelopes one envelope has a stamp or writing that says, Deceased. The envelopes that say deceased have a fold down them. I will fold these envelopes and put them inside the other envelope along with the letter when I ship them to keep them together, I will discard the plastic holders unless asked not to. I have a internet article that says Private Kester was in the 60th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division and died of wounds received in battle and was awarded the purple heart. I can provide the winning buyer a copy of this article or direct them to the website. I currently have other items listed that belonged to Private Kester.

Overall the letters are in very good condition, some have some wear, some envelopes have wear.
