1800-1801 Georgian Sterling Teapot And Stand Urquhart And Hart:
$750

This sale is for a Sterling Silver Teapot and Stand that I have had in my personal collection. The teapotwas made inLondon by Duncan Urquhart ad Napthali Hart. It has good marks for London, Sterling and the date letter for 1800-1801. The teapot is in good condition without major dents. It holds liquid well. Included with the pot is a sales invoice from John Beazor in Cambridge England dated August 3, 1950 describing the teapot and stand. It was in the teapot whenI purchased it from a local estate. It has an old, if not original Acorn-shaped finial.

The stand is actually a piece made in Edinburgh, Scotland again bearing datemarks for 1800-1801. Maker is a block "M&R" probably for Mitchell & russell. the teapot weighs approximately 418 grams. the stand weighs approximately 118 grams. the stand has a slight bendon the edge that i have tried to show inthe pictures. The teapot measures approximately 12" long end of spout to spout to end of handle. Approximately 6 and 1/2 inches tall to top of finial. Approximately 4 and 3/8 inches wide. The stand mneasures approximately 6 and 1/4 inches long, 4 and 1/2 inches wide and 3/4 inches tall.

All measurements and weightsare close approximations. This means that I am weighing them on a kitchen scale rather than a jeweler'sscale so weights may vary a few grams. I am also eyeballing measuremants using a tape measure so actual mmeasurements may be a little different.

I have other photos so please ask if you have questions.I have priced it hoping that an entry-level collector has a good shot at it. I am selling it because I acquired another set by an American maker and am taking my collectionin that direction.

Winning buyer pays actuall shipping via Priority mail and insurance. requires me to estimate shipping at the beginning of these sales, so i do a high estimate. The winner of the sale can always contact me and I will be happy to work with you on reasonable shipping charges.

Thanks and good luck. Please take a look at the other Georgian tea and coffee set I am selling inmy other sale.
