This is a very nice quality vase from the late 1800's that isJapanese. This is a Hizen porcelain bottle, the body of globular form resting on a ring foot and rising to a cylindrical neck with rolled mouth. The bottle's circumference isdecorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a spray of peonies and a pair of stylized bats for good luck.
