1800s Antiq Victorian Empire Acanthus-leaf Iron Feet Bobbin-twist Leg Wood Table:
19TH CENTURY - LATE-1800s VICTORIAN-ERA EMPIRE-STYLE No. #532 1/2 WOOD TABLE WITH BOBBIN-TWIST LEGS & ACANTHUS-LEAF IRON FEET. Table has 4 acanthus-leaf design iron feet in raised relief which are each curved at the end-see pics-feet have a little surface rust, they have no cracks or chips, each iron foot is held in place by a flat-head slotted screw. The legs have a 'bobbin-twist' design (see pics). The table is numbered underneath top with a dark black factory block-font stamping which reads "532 1/2" (see close-up pic included). Table has damage to lower level shelf-the shelf has a corner which had broken and was repaired-the repair is not loose but the corner shows a gap where the crack is and the peg is jutting out from the shelf (see pics)-this crack has a repair but would probably need a better repair as the repair is not flush-see close-up pic provided of crack where peg is fitted into lower shelf, two other pegs are not flush-I have not tried to push them back into shelf (see pics). The table-top surface has wear to surface and finish (see pics) and may need refinishing-I have left it as found (see close-up pic of top of table provided). Each leg has been crudely fixed to table-reinforced-with a piece of antique linen which must have been done in the late-1800s as it looks like a very primitive fix for tightening legs-see pic close-up of this feature and see also how the legs are fitted into the 2 board crosspieces-pic provided-the board crosspieces are held to table with slotted screws-all hardware appears to be original (see pics). Table has wear and some abrasion and wear to sufaces-sold 'as is' due to damage. Table measures approx. 29.5" tall x 20.25" x 20.25" and weighs approx. 13 lbs. unboxed. smoke free home. Thank you.
