1800s Eastlake Hand-Carved Mahogany Dresser Top Shaving Swivel Mirror w Drawer:

This is an antique Eastlake hand-carved dresser cabinet with a swivel mirror and one drawer. Quite unusual and ornate in styling. Lots of hand-carved detailing including a lovely Victorian fern in a pot on the top of the drawer. The initials \"DB\" are carved into the pot of the fern. Perhaps this was made as a gift to \"DB\".In generally good condition with what appears to be the original finish. The mirror has a good deal of silver loss but no cracks or chips. It sits firmly and holds its position when swiveled. There is a small stress crack on the left rear corner (next to the mirror support) which has been repaired and is now quite stable, see close-up. The rest of the piece is remarkably free of scratches or cracks. The bow-front drawer slides open and closed smoothly. Appears to be the original, ornate knob. This is one of the most handsome dresser top cabinets that I\'ve come across.Measures 20\" wide x 21\" tall x 10\" deep. Weighs just over 9 lbs.Will be carefully packed for safe arrival and fully insured against damage or loss.
