Fabulous large lot of handwritten letters and papers - personal correspondence, documents, medical and more. 1830s-60s.
Primarily the papers of Dr William Moody Parsons (1826-1922), born in Gilmanton NH, son of Josiah Parsons, Esq (1781-1842)and Abigail Burleigh. He received hismedical education at Dartmouth and Vermont Medical College (grad. 1851) andpracticed medicine in Bennington and Antrim NH prior to moving to Manchester NH in 1873.
- (35) Letters, mostly family, some friends. (20) 1847-48; (10) 1850s, a few later. Locales: Gilmanton, Great Falls (describes town), Dartmouth, Vermont, Chester, more. Nicely written.
- (45) Documents, bills, receipts. Includes a few early from father Josiah Parsons (one 1813). About 1830s-1862. Mostly smaller items.Includes somemedical. Locales: Antrim and Bennington VT; Concord and Gilmanton NH, etc.
