Fabulous large lot of handwritten letters and papers - personal correspondence, documents, medical and more. 1830s-60s.

Primarily the papers of Dr William Moody Parsons (1826-1922), born in Gilmanton NH, son of Josiah Parsons, Esq (1781-1842)and Abigail Burleigh. He received hismedical education at Dartmouth and Vermont Medical College (grad. 1851) andpracticed medicine in Bennington and Antrim NH prior to moving to Manchester NH in 1873.

Includes

  • (35) Letters, mostly family, some friends. (20) 1847-48; (10) 1850s, a few later. Locales: Gilmanton, Great Falls (describes town), Dartmouth, Vermont, Chester, more. Nicely written.
  • (45) Documents, bills, receipts. Includes a few early from father Josiah Parsons (one 1813). About 1830s-1862. Mostly smaller items.Includes somemedical. Locales: Antrim and Bennington VT; Concord and Gilmanton NH, etc.
