1800's Glass Eyed Poured Wax Doll 23" Inserted Hair In Scalp - Exquisite Doll For Sale
Welcome to Greyhound Rescue Mom's sale~~~What an exquisite creature I'm offering for your consideration. She is a 23" lightly pink tinted hollow poured wax doll with the most beautiful blue glass eyes! She came from an important doll estate preview, and I am thrilled to have purchased her. She has lost most of her blond mohair but extra mohair can certainly be added. Her scalp has the inserted pieces showing on the bald parts.Her face has never been retouched and shows it's age, but there is no loss of wax or chips. Her eyebrows are still there and her lined eyelids as well. Her eyes are set in to look very real! Her top lip is still red, but there is loss of paint on bottom lip. She has a closed mouth with a "happy slight smile".Her was arms and fingers are just in perfect condition and her hollow, chubby legs show individual toes. There is a very, very old break of one leg (can be fixed)....I put a stocking cuff on the legs for now.Her shoulder head goes down to what looks like a lovely cloth body with a small waistline and larger shapely hips. I could not remove her dress to show more than what you see. Her clothing is fabulous! Her dress is amazing and she has layers of slips and pantaloons and a sweet antique lace hat with some holes. Her dress has a few little holes also but not noticeable. She has blue beaded necklace the color of her eyes. There is no clip to remove it, but it is closed with some kind of string.The hair and the leg can be taken care of....I believe her to be Montinari or Pierotti doll.
