1800's Us Eaglehead Sword,saber Pre Civil War Superior Condition For Sale
Early 1800's U.S. Eagle head sword. Entire hilt is extra fancy,and retains 90% of its gilt plating.Grips are finely reeded bone and are in excellent condition. The 28 1/4" curved blade still retains 80% of its bright fire blue,that ends in a decorative scroll. The various military and scroll etchings retain 95% of their original gilt. Bright area of blade has a few very small areas of salt + peppering,no nicks.A nice eagle head sword in superior condition.No scabbard.
