This is a large antique Victorian rather gothic cut steel belt or sash buckle .

It is very pointing so it will need to be mounted on heavy material not satin or velvet etc. or have a piece of something put behind the material unless you\'re into pain . Back in the day I\'m sure ones corset would have provided that protection.
