1808 O.106aCappedBust half dollar gradedAU-50 by PCGS.Nice, problem-free and original 1808 Bust halves in PCGS AU are almost as tough to find as 1807\'s are, while the later dates are much easier, as a rule. I probably find 6 or 8 similar 1809\'s for every 1808! This coin is very pleasing, with excellent surfaces and lovely, light golden/olive toning. The luster is strong and the eye appeal is sweet. An early state of the 106a subvariety, with obverse cracks evident, but still crisply struck. Good luck on this one - it may take a bit of fortitude to prevail!
