Made up of twelve
hand-colored engraved gores laid to the celestial poles, the equatorial and equinoctial
graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days and showing symbols of the
houses of the Zodiac, the constellations depicted
by mythical beasts, figures
and some scientific instruments, with stars to seven orders of magnitude, some labeled
with variance of magnitude, some named, those within constellations labeled
with Greek characters, some nebulae with dates

and very readable, some old abrasions
and minor scratches); sphere with
engraved brass meridian circle divided in four quadrants, the engraved hour
dial numbered 10 to 80 twice in both directions.
