Here is an original early American19th century c1830 New England plank seat bench in very good condition and is also comfortable. This was probably a meeting house or church bench. This Settle/ Bench is painted in original mustard ground paint accented with bittersweet line detailing also called wood grain painting. It is a one board plank seat and measures 6' long and 34" at the back top. Very sturdy and usable with NO breaks, splits, mendsor cracks. Front rungs are all originaland show nice wear. Back splats etc., are all original and undamaged.I have owned this bench for over 40 years. It was a piece my family owned before I inherited it and they were from Connecticut and southern Vermont. The wood, I believe is pine, and all original with the exception of one well matched rung in the left very rear. Again, it is very solid and has not been outdoors. There is no wood rotor infestation issues at all,and never have been.

Please study the pictures before offerding, ask questions if you are unclear about anything. Be sure the item is what you want before offerding. We describe items to the best of our ability and belief. We are not experts in every field. You may know more about certain items than we do. Most items are used or antique and may show some minor wear. Any wear that is significant will always be described and photographed. I will photograph and/or describe this to the best of my ability. The photographs I take are very good and show well, if you require more, let me know. Because of some "nit pickers", all measurements are to be considered close and approximate. Mechanical items, such as clocks and clock movements are sold without warranty. I will tell you if they are working, or not, at time of listing. Antique clock movements can be complex and delicate, often needing a bit of adjustment. I take a long time to study an item prior to listing. I know my items well, do not try to switch or ask for partial refund for simulated or false damage, as I have had in the past. I use new boxes and packing material. To protect us both, I video ALL items as they are packed to protect against fraud and shippers that may not want to pay damage insurance if they break items due to mishandling. However, I have not hade a single damage claim in over 4 years...we pack well! We will not take advantage of you for shipping fees. We almost always loose several dollars for shipping material, to top that, takes their percentage of shipping costs. What's that all
