At sale this week, we have an 1837 Feuchtwanger One Cent Token which has been authenticated, encapsulated, graded and attributed by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) at XF 45 / HT-268(5G).

These pieces, produced by Lewis Feuchtwanger, are made of a type of German silver and were produced as a suggested replacement for copper coinage. They were actually used regularly in circulation during the coin shortage between 1836 and 1844.
