1840s Child's Banded Mochaware Chamber Pot. Rare For Sale
For sale is an 1840s childs banded Mochaware chamber pot. It is earthenware with a series of brown and blue bands decorating it. It is 4.75" tall, 7" wide at the mouth, and 3.75" wide at the base. This chamber pot was dug from an 1840s house site near St. Louis. The rim is beautifully intact, with no chips on it. The sides show wear and discoloration from having been buried for over 100 years, the handle was re-attached, after having been found broken off. The base has several large chips off of the footed base. This is still a very hard piece of antique mochaware to find. I am starting it at $5.00. Buyer pays shipping. Buyer has 7 days to pay, and a 7 day return privilege. Returns must be in same condition as sent. Refunds only issued when item returned. Good luck!!!
