1841 SG7 1d RED BROWN BLACK PLATE 8 STATE 2 BLACK & RED MALTESE CROSSES (TD)

A very fine 4 margin example which appears to have been struck by a Black Maltese cross, and then again very lightly a second time

above the first and slightly to the left. At some point however, this second strike looks like it may have been over inked in red.

However, I may be wrong! Still a nice looking stamp, and very fine example of a state 2 repair

of this black plate with the "O" flaw removed. Spec AS54. SG Cat £300.00
