1845 James Polk President Signed Land Grant Chicago:
Here is a TERRIFIC 10 X 16 inch James K Polk Signed Presidential Land Grant from 1845 for land in Chicago, illinois. It is ornately written and signed by his personal secretary, and one of the earlier ones in this current run we are selling. The grant is in collectable condition, on period vellom heavy stock that has the normal fold lines from being safely tucked away in the Land Office for well over a century. This particular grant still has the valued Land Office Seal attached and is an official period document. It is faded from age, but present. I cannot stress enough display value of this grant and several others that I will be listing on as I thin out my personal presidential collection. The ornate handwriting is a lost art, making this quite a conversation piece. It would look regal framed in your collection or office. The really interesting part is that I will leave it up to the buyer to do some further research of the land sale and those who have signed it. From time to time, a real treasure is found in these grants, in either a personally signed presidential autograph signature, or one of a difficult historical figure who signed the document. Do your homework and make a score!
