1847 Rogers Vintage Grape Xs Silver Plate Flatware For 12, 49 Pieces, 9 Servers For Sale
1847 Rogers Brothers, 1904 Vintage Grape Pattern XS Triple Silver Plate Flatware For Twelve. Forty nine pieces include nine serving pieces. The 12 knives are 9 3/4" long with Old French silver plate blades, the blades are marked, 1847 Rogers Bros. The 12 forks are 7 1/2" long and marked 1847 Rogers Bros XS Triple. The 10 tea spoons are 6" long and marked like the forks. The six, 5 o'clock spoons are 5 1/2" long, they are marked, 1847 Rogers Bros, A1 and are monogrammed, D or Y, I'm not sure which letter for sure, see the photo. None of the other pieces of this set are monogrammed. The nine serving pieces are, 2-81/4" serving spoons, 1-8 1/4" serving fork with gilded tines. 1-7 1/2" pickle fork. 1-7 1/8" gravy ladle. 1-5 1/2" cream ladle. 1-6 1/2' sugar spoon. 1-7" twist handle master butter knife. 1-9 7/8" pie server, hollow handle with silver plate blade. All the serving pieces with the exception of the pie server are marked, 1847 Rogers Bros XS Triple. The pieces of this set are in very good, used condition. No loss of silver plate or heel wear. The knife blades are especially nice, no edge wear or bubbling. The fork tines are straight with no tip wear. All the pieces exhibit the typical signs of use and polishing. The later, Community, silver chest is included if you want it, the shipping quote is for the set with the chest. The chest's measurements are, 17" X 11 1/2" X 7 1/2". Should you not want the chest, the cost of mailing the flatware alone would be approximately half the cost quoted. The set weighs 14 pounds with the chest.
