Pleasant Adam Hackleman (1814-Oct. 3, 1862)- Lawyer, politician and Union general during the Civil War. He served with the 16th Infantry Regiment and was shot through the neck at the Second Battle of Corinth. Delegate to the National Republican Convention at Chicago which elected Abraham Lincoln as presidential candidate, 1860; 1861 Peace Conference delegate.
