Incoming 1854correspondence to George Dawson Coleman (1825-1878) who built North Lebanon Furnaces,Lebanon Co.'s first hot-blast anthracite iron furnacein the 1840s with his brother Robert Coleman. The furnace manufactured pig iron.George bought out his brother in 1852 and in 1853 built his "Homestead" in what is now ColemanMemorialPark.

(30) letters, about Jan-August 1854 from various parties, plus (5) accounting sheets from 1852. One letter with address leaf, stamp loose.
