JOHN SAMUEL HUNT STERLING SILVER AND CUT GLASS INKSTAND
Very elegant 1858 sterling silver and cut glass inkstand by John Samuel Hunt (from the prestigious firm of Hunt & Roskell, founded by Storr), silversmith and jeweler to Queen Victoria. His works are represented in the best museums. Elegant and simple design for a piece that will never go out of fashion.
The inkwells may be a later addition, or they may have had their lids replaced, although they are both marked (please, see the accompanying pictures).

Excellent condition, with no damages or restorations, other than the normal signs of use on the tray (one of the nuts which hold the bolts on the back is missing; illustrated). Please, see what it is mentioned in the description for the inkwells; one of these has a small nick (illustrated). Please, see the attached pictures for a better illustration of their condition.
