Edited by Osmond Tiffany and published by G. and F. Bill. 1860. 637 pages +ads. 6" x 9". Hardcover with gilt decoration. Marbled edges. Contains many superb Steel Engraved plates with tissue guards and a tinted foldout of Palmyra.
The book is divided into five parts:
PART I - PALESTINE AND ITS EARLY PEOPLE; PART II - THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST; PART III - THE LIVES OF THE APOSTLES; PART IV - GREAT REFORMERS; PART V- REMAINS OF ANCIENT EasterN CITIES
