We are very pleased to be able to offer this wonderful circa 1860 Primitive Pie Safe with 12 Tins in Old Style Blue GreenPaint. This is a plantation pie safe cupboard from North Carolina, Civil War eraand used in a plantation house. It is made of Southern Heart Pine. The 12 hand punched tins are raredouble tins, equal to 24 tins. This pie safe is pegged and has square nails.. It is mortised and tenoned. The two upper and lower doors has locks,indicating this pie safe held valuable items inside, perhaps sugar. This Pie Safe is in Blue Green Paintand the tins are in mustard paint which aren\'t old but painted, aged, oxidized and seemingly authentic. The Patina is wonderful. Inside above are four shelves and two below, offering great storage space. This pie safe has beautiful form anda beautiful shaped foot. It is a nice, tall size and measures 83\" tall x 42 1/4\" wide x 21\" deep. Early Primitive Southern Americana Pie Safe in Blue Green Paint and incredible 12 double-sized tins in mustard paint.
