Thisis an 1850\'s American Rococo Rosewood Victorian center table with a turtleshaped white marble top (Original Marble). Very similar tables are shown in\"American Furniture of the 19th Century\" by Eileen and RichardDubrow. It has a undulating laminated carved skirt that features a cluster ofroses and other flowers with foliage on all four sides. There is a fruitcarving at the top of each of the graceful legs. Four carved stretchers supporta gorgeous central outstanding carved finial. It sits on the original brasscastors. The center table is the focal point of the Victorian living room. Thistable is one of the best and is a RARE SIZE. It is long and narrow so it couldalso be used behind a sofa as a sofa table. It is in the remarkable originalcondition that the sophisticated collectors covet! Circa: 1850 Dimensions(widest points noted): 31 1/4\"H x 43\"W x 27 1/4\"D Finish:Excellent finish with deep rich patina. The vibrant stunning grain of therosewood is on full display.
