1862 Camp Michigan, Va Civil War Letter “death Of Son” Signed Capt. Wm. Humphrey For Sale
1862 CAMP MICHIGAN, VA, CIVIL WAR LETTER “DEATH OF SON,” SIGNED CAPT. WM. HUMPHREY. A very thoughtful and detailed letter regarding the death of a soldier, John F. Morse, written and signed by Capt. William Humphrey, Company D, 2nd Regiment, Michigan Volunteers. Two-page letter, with toning and light stains, early (small) tape repairs at two folds.
NOTE real photo adhered to upper left (presumably of Capt. Humphrey). Includes envelope to Mary J. Adams, Fitzwilliam, NH (stamp cut off).
