Up for sale is a vintage Civil War Era letter datelined Camp Near Moorsville Alabama July 5, 1864. Letter, written on small patriotic stationery was written by Private Frank Ashley, Company H, 64th Regiment, Ohio Volunteers, 20 Brigade 6 Division. Letter hard for me to read, as it is written in pencil and hard for me to really understand what he is trying to get across the way he wrote it. . The first page is the weakest of the four. Excerpts from the letter............."........this morning, for the first for some time, we were in a ???? get it or send ones out.
