1862 Civil War Bible (new Testament) Belonging To John D. Sargeant, Nj For Sale

FOUND in a DESK DRAWER:Union Soldier pocketCivil War Bible (New Testament). Measures 4.5 inches by 3 inches by 1.2 inch. The best part of this is in the inside pages and though it's heard to read.. I can see:

"John D. Sargeant or John D. Sargent"

"60 K 4th Regt NJ "

"1862"

"May 16, 1862"

"Bradbury Doe, South Berwick, Maine"

THE BEST PART.. written in pencil...

"Don't steal this book any honest friend lest destruction may befall"

There is alot more writing that I cannot decipher. The book has 316 pages. It does not list any information on the publisher or distributor of the book itself. I have no idea why both names (John Sargent and Bradbury Doe) are listed.
