This is a wonderful original handwritten diary of Gamaliel F Snow of Meriden, Connecticut.It is from 1863.Snow was an inventor and businessman and went into business with Parker to make Parker, Snow and Company that made muskets and guns for the Union Army during the Civil War.It has great content throughout and is in good condition.It also has a ledger portion in the rear for Parker, Snow and Company.It says in part:Father and Mother Durand dined here today.Went to the lecture M, Martha and Mary Hastings galled here the PM, pleasant and some sleighingHigh water in Harbor Brook commenced ?
