With Confederate Stamps, Richmond Postmark, etc.Old Dealer Stock / circa 1980's dealer's description:"Confederate Civil War Letter, Stamps and PostmarkMoody, W.L. ALS Sept. 21, 1864. Tip Top Miss. 4to. 1 page to Lt. L.P. Moody of Blain's Texas Regt. A chatty letter, speaking of travel plans and legal arrangements, land purchases, etc, no real content on the war. Folded into envelope, with pencil canceled 10 cent Confederate stamp. Also with 3 other stamps, one 10 cent and two 5 cent J. Davis stamps. Also, an envelope (empty) addressed to James H. Moody, with a 10 cent T. Jeffereson Confederate stamp, with a Richmond 1862 cancellation postmark. ($400.00)" Letter measures about 11-3/4 x 7-1/2 inches. The whole in about good vintage condition with soiling and tearing to envelope, pin-size holes in the letter folds, and corner roughness, etc. to some of the @ $3.95 anywhere Mainland USA; Expedited and insured shipping available, international buyers welcome.
