John Broadwood & Sons is the oldest and one of the most
prestigious piano companies in the world. The instruments have been enjoyed by
such famous people as Mozart, Haydn, Chopin, Beethoven and Liszt. The company

This solid oak Cottage Grand Piano has beautiful and ornate carving, is in GREAT condition, although it is in tune with itself, it does need to be tuned. All ivory is intact. The sounding board is named an numbered "Harling 1402" and the number "1402" is stamped and/or engraved on several places, indicating it is all original.
Photos show it with its various moving parts in and out or
up and down. I have many more photos that did not fit with the listing, and will email upon request.
Overall dimensions: 6" long, by 4' 3" wide. 6 and 3/4 octaves (C to A). has a serial number index and a lot of historical information on these pianos. For 60 pounds, you can actually receive the history of this piano!
I bought this in an Antique store in St. Petersburg,
Florida on Superbowl Sunday, 1989. It has been lovingly played over the years, and moved to Michigan from
Florida in 2006. The ONLY reason I am selling it is because I bought a player
piano in 2005, and it just doesn't make sense to have two pianos. The player
won out (to the thrill of my nephew, Joseph), but this piano must go to a home
where it will be treasured and loved.
Buyer must move the piano. The three legsand the damper pedal stem can be removed, which allows the top unit to lie flat or on its side for transport.
