Copy of Mitchells\' popular new school atlas, this time presented with dozens of hand colored maps, many of the United States and its states, as shown. Decorative paper-covered boards with remnants of cloth spine (hardbound), some loss, rubbing and wear, as shown with covers detached. Pages with some very light edgewear and rubbing, the maps- what matters- well maintained and in great shape with only a light dampstain pervading the book. Maps are colored, tinted by hand. Present are 41 of the original 44 maps, lacking the maps of MN and the Dakotas (all one), Nebraska, and KS/CO/NM/Indian Territory(all one). Fair to good condition, with general cover wear, and occasional foxing. A well-used yet sound book with great maps. Measures 9.5\" x 12\" .
