On thissale is a beautiful17\" post Civil War paper mache doll head. She has painted blue eyes, closed mouth, deeplymolded blonde hair. Her head has some issues due to her age. She has crazing as shown in photos, a chip in the paint on her nose, and a big chip out of theshoulder plate as shown in photos. Her body is a great old cloth body with leather hands with stitched fingers, striped sewn on sockson lower legs with sewn on red leather boots with tassels. GREAT body!
She was custom dressed some years ago. She is wearing antique cotton pantaloons, half slip and short full slip. Her outfit is cream and brown and is typical of the outfits ladies wore in the 1870\'s. Her long fitted top has brown heart buttons and islined with the brown satin you see on thetrim. Her gathered skirt is a button up one. And finally you get the matching cape. This outfit is in excellent condition with no dirt, stains, rips or issues at all. Really a great outfit. This is a rare doll, especially to find dressed this nice and in such good condition with such a nice old body. Don\'t pass her up.
