1870s Scarce Trade Card SANTA CLAUS SLEIGH REINDEER Christmas Atmore Mince Meat:

Scarce and charming original Christmas-themed trade card for Atmore’s Mince Meat and Genuine English Plum Pudding, circa 1870s–1880s, approx. 4 x 2.75 in. Card mounted to blotter paper, and very slight trimming to top and bottom edges (confined to margins and not touching image), otherwise very good, clean condition. (Please note that this card was issued with a blank reverse, and the blotter paper is therefore not covering any text.)

An uncommon early use of Christmas imagery in advertising, featuring Santa Claus and six reindeer pulling a sleigh laden with plum puddings (which appear to be larger than his head!) over a snowy rooftop.
