Antique china head doll. Sweet face with painted features. Made in Germany. Molded black curly hair with low brow. Dates from the 1880s. Incised 2C on the back of the shoulder plate. Leather and cloth stuffed body. Blue lace dress with ribbon rosettes and ivory lace trim. Wearing slip and pantaloons. Measures 12\" tall. Measures 3\" tall from edge of plate to top of head. Just the head measures 2\" tall from chin to top. 5.5\" around the forehead. Body has a kid leather torso and arms with cloth legs. I have not taken off the pantaloons or the stockings. They are stitched in place~stockings are stitched to the cloth of the leg. Arms may be re-stitched at the shoulder. Stone bisque arms and hands. One hand is broken~long ago! Little color wear on the hair across the front. One cheek color is darker than the other. 1 eye coloring is smaller than the other (see photos). It\'s charming!
**This doll was part of a local doll lovers collection! She was a true \"old tyme\" collector! She collected everything doll related and inventoried it all in many many albums. I\'ll be including the inventory page for this doll. It\'s just a neat piece of her history!
