Saint Nicholas... with bag of fruit on his back.

Large German Chromolithograph from the very early 1890s, or earlier.

St. Nicholas.. truly dressed in his old-fashioned form with biship's garb.

Staff in his hand on left, and golden crusted pole in the other.

They were combined, so that is they way they will go hopefully to a new care-taker.

Really elegant an excellent example of German chromolithography... from pre-1900.

5.50 by 8.75" and in very good condition.

These are from our personal collection, started over 45 years ago, and now that we are on in age (old), we feel it is time to pass theseon to new care-takers who will treasure them and carry them into the next generations. Some were used in books, some in articles, and some for museum exhibtions. They have been stored in a surveyor's chest, away from the light, and also in a totally smoke free environment as a cigarette has not ever been smoked in our home.

There is nothing wrong than age. These being listed tonight arein very good shape.They arevintage, notreproductions. I guarantee that. I start all my sales at .99 cents as it is an sale and I just never cared when I went to live sale and thesaleeer started very high, and then spent time backing down to get a offer.
