This metal card or plaque measures about 3.75” long and about 2.75” high. The front features jugate portraits of Grover Cleveland and Adlai Stevenson beneath an eagle, with their names and offices sought below their portraits. The back features comments on the protective tariff and its impact on prices – “A McKinley Tariff Object Lesson” – pointing out that the tax (tariff) on Tin Plate was nearly ¾ of the tin plate’s actual value, and that the consumer winds up paying the tax. “Vote the Democratic Ticket for Tariff Reform.” The tariff issue (Free Trade vs the Protective Tariff) was a major campaign issue in 1892. This was Cleveland’s third campaign for president, which he won, returning him to the White House after a four-year hiatus.

Overall condition is very good, as seen in the photos, with scattered nicks and minor wear.
