REPRODUCTION
MECHANICAL CAST IRON BANK
1893 CHICAGO WORLDS FAIR
COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION
FIRST OF ALL, THIS BANK IS IN SUPERB, UNTAMPERED WITH CONDITION AND FUNCTIONS 100%. EVEN THOUGH IT IS A REPRODUCTION (1950'S I BELIEVE) IT IS STILL QUITE DESIREABLE. NOTHING IS DAMAGED OR RUSTED. FINISH IS ALL ORIGINAL. THIS IS THE VERSION, AS YOU CAN SEE, THAT DOES NOT HAVE PAINTED CHARACTERS BUT THE BRASS TYPE FINISH OVERALL.
COLUMBUS SITS AT ONE END OF THE BANK AND WHEN BUTTON IS PUSHED, THE INDIAN POPS UP AT THE OTHER AND AND HE ROLLS THE COIN THAT YOU HAVE PUT IN FRONT OFHIM TO THE INDIAN. WHEN THE COIN REACHES THE INDIAN, IT FALLS DOWN IN THE SLOT TO THE BANK. BOTTOM OF BANK HAS REMOVAL IRON PLUG TO EMPTY THE BANK. TESTED IT OUT AND IT WORKS GREAT.
THE BANK MEASURES APPROX. 8" LONG AND IS 3 1/8" WIDE AT THE BASE. STANDS APPROX. 6 1/4" TALL. WEIGHS IN AT 1 LB. 13 OZ. BASE IS MARKED "COLUMBUS - REPRODUCED FROM ORIGINAL IN COLLECTION OF THE BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE".
